The healthy recipe of Grilled vegetable drumstick is easy to prepare and does not take much time. You can easily make this as a part of your dinner or lunch.

The drumstick vegetable has a yellow flower that turns into a fruit after maturity. This small, aromatic, floating plant, native to India, China, and Tibet. But now it is cultivated in many countries of the world.

    Ingredients

    • 1 no Drumstick

    • 2 cloves Garlic

    • 1 no Small diced ginger

    • 1/4 cup Mustard seed (black)

    • 1/2 tbsp Cumin seed

    • 2 tbsp Mustard oil

    • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder

    • 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice

    • 1 cup Fine julienne spinach leaves

    • Salt

    • Chopped cilantro

    Directions

    • Take a bowl. Put mustard seed, cumin seed, peeled ginger, and garlic cloves. Pour water. Keep it for 30 minutes or until it soaked well. Then strain well.
    • Then take a mixing jar, put the soaked ingredients, add cilantro, a little turmeric powder, and 1 tbsp of mustard oil. Make a fine paste by adding water.

    • Wash the drumstick well. Peel, and cut it.

    • Boil the water. Add drumstick. Boil until half-done. Remove from the fire. And strain well. Keep aside for cool.

    • Then it marinated with a mustard paste mixture. And keep it for a couple of minutes.

    • Heat 1 tbsp of mustard oil in a pan. Then place the marinated drumstick, and cook with slow fire.
    • Turn the all-over side, and cook it well. When it cooked, you can seed it to reaches golden brown color, and the texture will be more tender than before cooking.

    • Then the grilled drumstick remove out from the range, and it transfer to a serving plate.
    • Garnish with a slice of lemon, and served hot with fried spinach.

    Uses of vegetable Drumstick…

    In India, drumsticks are commonly used in sambar, dal, and vegetable curry. In India, they are often roasted in a dry frying pan with tomatoes, onions, spices, and oil until they become well cooked.

    The drumstick vegetable can add to the recipe of curries, along with mustard seeds, coconut, poppy seeds, and coconut oil. Also, it can provide healthy and tasty thick soup that is full of nutrients, contains almost no fat.

    And the drumstick can be served as a starter recipe or an accompaniment to other dishes, such as sambar or Avial.

    In Thailand, the leaves are cooked and ground into a paste before eating. The leaves of the drumstick can be mixed with peanut oil and fish sauce and prepared as a salad dressing recipe.

    In Burma, the leaves of vegetable drumstick, are boiled in coconut milk until it becomes a dark yellow color and then mixed with lime juice, fish sauce, mint leaves, and chicken broth.
