Basically “Bolognese sauce” often refers to a tomato-based sauce with adding mince beef such sauces typically bear less resemblance to ragù alla bolognese being more similar in fact to the ragù alla napoletana from the tomato-rich south of the country.

Ingredients

  • Medium onion.....................................................1 no
  • Extra virgin olive oil............................................1 tbsp
  • Garlic........................................................................2 cl
  • Minced beef...........................................................110 gm
  • Dried oregano ......................................................1 tsp
  • Plum tomatoes .....................................................200 gm
  • Beef stock.................................... ...........................200 ml
  • Tomato ketchup....................................................2 tbsp
  • Celery.......................................................................1 small stick
  • Salt............................................................................to taste
  • Pepper .....................................................................to taste
  • Spaghetti.................................................................80 gm
  • freshly grated Parmesan cheese.....................2 tbsp
  • Fresh basil leaf......................................................4-5 no
  • French bougette..................................................1 slice
  • Parsley....................................................................1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Chop onion , garlic and celery stick.
  2. Blanch the plum tomatoes in heavy sauce pan, drain well and set aside to cool.
  3. Boil salted water in a saucepan add spaghetti, boil for 6 minute. Remove the pasta when al dente done.
  4. Skinless and seedless the tomatoes and chop it.
  5. Put the onion and oil in a large pan and fry over medium heat for 3-4 mins. Add the garlic and mince beef and fry until they both brown. Add herbs and cook for another couple of mins for 20 minutes.
  6. Whenever sauce will add spaghetti , basil leaves stire it seasoning with salt, sugar and pepper.
  7. Apply butter, garlic on slice french baguette and bake it.
  8. Stir in the spaghetti with meat sauce.Serve in hot bowls and hand round Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling on top.

  9. Serve with garlic bread and fried basil leaves.
