Samosa is the common and most popular snacks all over the india. As you can called a samosa is a fried or baked dish with a savory filling, such as spiced potatoes, onions, peas, lentils, macaroni, noodles, cheese, minced lamb or minced beef. … So in English you can call samosa as triangle.

Right now a days everyone knows the recipe of punjabi samosa, so it is not important for this recipes . But my aim is ,how it will be looking good.

Here I have prepared the unique style of samosa plating , so some of ingredients may not include so you can make this way or as per recipe.

Ingredients

  • FOR SAMOSA DOUGH
  • 2 cup All purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • FOR FILLING
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Seed
  • 1 tbsp Fennel seed
  • A pinch Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tbsp Ginger powder
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Green chilly
  • 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • A pinch Turmeric Powder
  • A pinch Amchur powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 2 no Large parboiled potato
  • 8-10 no Curry leaves
  • for frying Vegetable Oil
  • FOR GARNISH AND ACCOMPANIMENT
  • 1/2 cup Mint chutney
  • 1/2 cup Tamarind chutney
  • 1/2 cup Sweet curd
  • 1 sprig Mint leaf

Instructions

  1. For samosa dough....In a large mixing bowl ,mix together flour , salt and oil. Rub the mixture till it resemble bread crumb. Then add 1/2 cup water and knead together in to a firm dough.Cover the dough with the damp cloth and set aside.
  2. For filling.....Heat oil in a saucepan add curry leaves, crushed fennel seed, coriander seed and fry the spices till it gives aromatic. Then add ginger,garlic and chilly stir it for couple of minutes.
  3. Peel the potato and mash it , add to sauce pan and stir it again for couple of minutes.then remaining spices finishing with salt .Set aside for cool it.

  4. Make wrap the samosa...... Divided into 12 no of small sized dough.Take one and roll it between your palms till smooth and dust it with flour.
  5. Roll it out into a circle which is less than 1 mm thickness and about 6 inches in diameter.
  6. Cut the rolled dough in half. Pick up one half and brush it with a little water along the straight edge of the sheet.
  7. Then take half spoon of mixture fill the half cone one edge of sheet and brush the other side edge of sheet with water and make a shape of samosa.Repeat till the remaining dough.
  8. And fry it.Serve with mint chutney,tamarind chutney and sweet curd.

  9. Garnishing with mint leaves.
