The classic kachumber salad contains cucumbers, tomatoes, yogurt, onions, and lemon juice. Combined with black salt, cumin, chaat masala, amchur powder (dried green mango powder), and fresh cilantro leaves.

Ingredients

  • 2 no Cucumber (tender, medium)

  • 1 no Beetroot (boiled)

  • 2 no Tomatoes (red, large)

  • 1 no Carrot )peeled, medium)

  • 1 Green capsicum (sliced)

  • French Mustard dressing
  • 1/2 cup Vinegar (white)

  • 1/2 cup Salad oil

  • 2 tbsp French Mustard

  • Salt & crushed pepper

  • Chopped Garlic

  • Lemon juice (optional)

  • Garnish
  • Cilantro sprig

  • Lemon wedges

Directions

  • Dice the beetroot, cucumber, tomatoes, and carrot. Keep it in a bowl.

  • In a large bowl combine the mustard, salad oil, salt, crushed pepper and garlic. Use a hand blender to blend the ingredients until they form a semi-thick texture.

  • Then pour the dressing over the diced vegetables. Combine well with condiments, and check the seasoning. If it needs, adds some.

  • Divide into four bowls, garnish with lemon wedges and cilantro sprig. Serve cold as an appetizer or salad.
