  5. To defrost frozen tahini sauce, just put it in a sealed plastic bag and place it in a bowl of warm water (never submerge any part of the container).
  6. After about 30 minutes, it should be soft enough for you to squeeze out what you need; repeat if necessary.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sesame seed (white)

  • 1/2 cup Olive oil(extra virgin)

  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice

  • 5-6 cloves Garlic

  • 1/3 tbsp Crushed pepper

Directions

  • Put a medium saucepan over medium heat and add sesame seeds. Stir constantly for about 5 minutes until lightly browned.

  • Turn off the heat if you feel it getting too hot and continue stirring until they cool down a bit.

  • Transfer to a glass bowl. Keep aside for cool. Then add 1/2 cup of olive oil, and garlic cloves.

  • Then place sesame seeds into a food processor, and blend them until everything is smooth.

  • Transfer to a bowl. Then season with salt and lemon juice. Check the seasoning.
