  • 8 no Green cucumber (tender)

  • Season & spices
  • 1 tbsp Roasted cumin powder

  • 2 tbsp Salt (black salt, optional)

  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice

  • 1 tbsp Paprika

  • 1 tbsp Crushed pepper

  • 2 tbsp Chopped Garlic

  • 4 tbsp Olive oil (for marination & grilling)

  • Garnish
  • Fresh Mint Leaves

  • Dips
  • Sweet chilly sauce

  • Garlic yogurt (optional)

  • Tzaziki (optional)

  • Garlic mayo(optional)


  • Wash well the cucumber and cut off both ends. And cut the strips of cucumber, then take the cucumber strip and cut off the edges so that they’re about an inch wide by three inches long.

    Then stack all of the strips together and cut them into three-inch pieces by cutting through all of them.

  • Keep the cucumber strips in a mixing platter—season with lemon juice, cumin powder, crushed pepper, paprika, salt, and olive oil. Mix gently.

  • Heat grilling pan. Drizzle oil, Then place cucumber strips one by one. Leave it for two minutes to grill, Turn the other sides, and do the same process with the remaining cucumber strips.
  • Then remove the grilled cucumber from the pan, and transfer it to a serving plate. Garnish with mint sprig. Serve hot with the accompaniment of sweet chilly sauce.
