The recipe for Bacon-wrapped shrimps is one of the simplest ways to cook and the dainty dish as an appetizer. The seafood lovers always they very much relished the shellfish like Lobster, crab, prawn, shrimps, clams, oyster, mussels and scallops. shellfish are divided into two categories one is Crustacean and another one is molluscs. I sliced the bacon and wrapped it on marinated shrimp. Spread the horseradish sauce on it, it is the best combination and best result for evening snacks. FEW WORDS FOR BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP RECIPE
It is preparing with shrimps, beef bacon, fresh herb, seasoning, and some seasonal vegetable. It is shrimp appetizer with dips of horseradish sauce
- 8 no Shrimp/medium prawn
- 4 Slices Beef bacon
- 1 handful Julienne red cabbage
- 1 sprig Fresh thyme
- 4 no radicchio
- 2-4 no Cherry tomato
- 8 no Silver onion (pickled onion)
- 8 no Asparagus
- Dill leaves for garnishing
- 2-4 tbsp Horseradish sauce
- Salt/Crushed pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Chopped garlic
- 1/2 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Caraway seeds (optional)
- 1/2 cup Julienne red onion
Well washed shrimp with cold water, rub with salt, crushed pepper, lemon juice, fresh thyme, and chopped garlic. Wrapped in bacon slices around each shrimp. Arrange on a baking tray.
Preheat oven 332-degree Fahrenheit or 167-degree Celsius, place the baking tray and bake for 7 to 9 minutes.
FOR RED CABBAGE SAUKRAUT……
Heat olive oil in a frying pan, add julienne onion and stir for 3 minutes until it does not soften. Add julienne cabbage and again stir for 3 to 4 minutes, add salt, sugar, cider vinegar and caraway seeds, stir for 5 minutes until done.
Washed the radicchio and cut thick slices, blanch the asparagus.
When shrimps are cooked, remove from oven and keep aside. Place radicchio 4 no of slices on a serving plate, put one spoon red cabbage sauerkraut on top of each radicchio slice. Place the wrapped prawns on pickled cabbage and asparagus, silver onion, sliced cherry tomato keep accordingly.
Garnishing a sprig of dill leaves and serving warm or cold with horseradish sauce.
